WALSH Trust is a well-established and respected award winning provider of community mental health services. One of our residential services is looking for an experienced and qualified Mental Health Support Worker. The service is based in Henderson and provides residential support services to adults to assist  them  in their recovery goals. This is a practical role that can include a range of tasks and duties. The role is full time working an average of 80 hours per fortnight on a rostered basis Monday to Sunday. 

Skills & Experience

This job could be for you if you: 

  • Have experience and/or qualifications in mental health (New Zealand Certificate in Health and Well-Being: Mental Health and Addictions) or equivalent/higher qualification.
  • Want to make a lasting, positive difference in the lives people and their whānau.
  • Have the ability to work with diverse cultures.
  • Are flexible, adaptable, competent, reliable, forward thinking and a team player.
  • Can demonstrate initiative and problem solving skills.
  • Are naturally encouraging and have a non-judgmental attitude.
  • Can take responsibility for yourself.
  • Have a passion and energy to contribute to the mental health sector.
  • Have a full, current, clean New Zealand driver’s licence.
